As far as cranberry is concerned it was deffo dependant on batch ;)

Gosh I had not thought about compatibility with cim glass being encased. I have just done a few sets of elphba, & heffalump beads. I guess they can just go in the kiln & I will see what happens. It's unlike me not to trawl through old threads to research before I try things out.

I've had cracking with kryptonite, so have resorted to using it on its own now. It's from an oldish batch, possibly bought three years ago. Newer batches might be okay? Shame as it's a lovely seafoam colour :(

Yes dreadful - I had a commission from another beadmaker for that encased! In the end I had to get effetre opal nile green which was the closest and that seemed OK.

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

Gelly's Sty is a bugger for cracking under encasement too as I found out recently. Why is it always the nicest bead you've ever made that it happens to? And such an expensive colour too :'(
Oh well, I'm sure I'll have great fun trying to recreate the bead with effetre colours...

Worst CIM I have had is poison apple, it doesnt like anything

Wish I'd seen this before I made a really nice lentil, half poison apple, half CIM olive, with SIS on it.  There's a small crack on the poison apple half!  Must be due to the SIS, I suppose.  Oh well, you live and learn.

I encase CIM Sangria all of the time and never had a problem, nor any of the Eff reds coranges or yellow. Must be lucky I guess. x
