what do you put your frit on??

I use pie/tart foil cases: got a pack of about 50 empty ones from the pound shop. I shape one side into a lip so the frit's easy to pour back.

I use a spare torch top marver I have...it takes the heat and you just tip the left over frit to one side against the metal bit and pour it back into the jar.

I use a brass tea caddy spoon on kitchen roll to catch the overspill, but that is a brilliant idea, Lesley.
The outside bottom of the can is just the right depth and the edges are unconstrictive to the mandrel

I put it on whatever comes to hand, I have little piles of Frit all over the place cos I'm too messy..
