I got some of those little seahorse murrini from Tuffnells - I melted two into oblivion.   :o  I guess the trick is not to melt them......so hpw is it done?  tried embedding one into clear than encasing, but as soon as I tried to melt in the clear, he spread out and faded away...is there a knack or am I just approaching it wrong?  :-\

It's tricky - when I was putting my little cat murrini on beads, the easiest way was to use thinner slices, push them into the bead as far as possible, then put clear on top of the face and very carefully heat and smoosh just the clear lens until it covered the edges too. Then the whole thing's flush with the surface. It was really easy to smear them, though, especially if they were thicker slices.

Mmm.  That sounds about right!  Will embed him deeper next time and maybe use stringer to encase, so it doesn't need mush heat to squish the edges down....
They are so blinking expensive, I didn't want to waste any more messing about if there was a trick I was missing!  Thanks!
