A little while ago I came accross a fusing tutorial for using up old bits of rod. I have looking in the fusing tutorial section but can't seem to find it - saying that I'm not even one hundred percent sure it was here.

Does anyone know what I am talking about and its location??

Many Thanks
Stacy

as a follow on, because we cut our own rods - we have loadsa effetre shorts of mixed colour for playing with?...

???

If you click on the HOME tab and type rods for fusing in the search option a few things come up... Not sure if you did that or went into the tutorial tab as some of the threads which then come up are under technical for example... HTH  :)

Yep - Thats it - Thanks Isabelle!!!

I have never done any fusing before and I thought this would be good incase I don't like it (quite unlikely but..., I didn't want to spend to much money on things I wouldn't use again....

Got the go ahead to order the kiln while a Champions League football match was on...  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

James is however threatening to become a member of this site so he can track what I'm up to on the odd occasion  :P

oh Q, you too kind

i keep meaning to fuse some of my shorts together, i think i've got just enough to make one coaster

Stacy

Well mine is in and on - the hardest bit was getting the kiln to do the ramp up and down stuff.

Am I the only one to find the paragon instructions a little 'odd'?

I'll put up a photo when it done

Peter has just raised a very good point.

When I was setting my rods up in the kiln they had a real problem rolling forward - I finally got them settled but does this mean that when the glass is molten it will dribble forward?

Put a hold on doing the firing now as don't want to ruin the kiln with molten glass dribbling over the sides on the shelf!!

Any advice would be much appriciated
