I've read on here that if you batch anneal you need to clean the beads after, not before annealing. Is there a reason for this, or is it just so I get the fantastic job of cleaning about 100 beads all in one go (by the way, that was a sarcastic 'fantastic').

It's just that your beads will be stronger after annealing, and less likely to crack or chip during the cleaning process. If you know you're really careful, or if you don't mind risking losing a couple, there's no reason why you can't clean them before annealing.

Thanks, I was hoping it was just that, nothing too serious, I'll go gently.
