Hi,

I've just seen some beads which had copper foil incorporated in the bead. It looks like shapes were cut out and then somehow encased in the bead.
Does anyone know where I can get some copper foil and how to use it?
I've checked on tuffnell website and it they only seem to sell the thin leaf sheets. Not thick enough to cut into shapes.

Thanks!!!

Trudi

I bought mine from warm glass!

Check out model making shops, foil will be too thin, you need thin sheets ideally. There is a tutorial (somewhere) in the tutorial sections about putting copper foil onto of white beads and burning in; the copper and glass melt to make green and green/blue although you need to be careful as it flares and spits an awful lot.

The stuff we sell works really well in those paper stampers that you can buy cheaply from craft shops so you can stamp shapes out of the copper foil to include in your glass work........

Thanks for putting the links in guys. It was out of stock but we received a 40ft container delivery from the States on Monday so lots of things that had got low or were out of stock are now back  :)
