Hi ,
Has anyone tried the pure dichro ( dichro on copper foil ) . I wondered if it was worth trying the pure dichro as I love the effect but never seem to be able to get it to work for me when  I use it . It is very expensive and I can only see it for sale in the USA so probably have customs to pay too so I dont want to waste my money .
Thanks
Louise

I must say I rather like the look of this stuff too! It's supposed to be thicker and harder to burn out - so the blurb says!

Yeah thats what I had read too so I was hoping it would be easier to get the effect without it burning off .
There is some really yummy frit on the website too ' crinkle dichro '  http://www.fineartbyrocio.com/glass.html .

Hi,

yes I have tried it, and think it is great. For me it is a lot easier to use than dichroic on glass - with glass coated dichro I always get scumming glass or boiled dichro. The pure dichro doesn't fry out so easily, and is easy to encase. I have also heard it is great for making dichroic stringer, as it is possible to get a much more concentrated amount of dichro. haven't tried that yet.

I bought some from FritenGlas in Holland:
