I'm a bit gutted. I made a bit of a whopper, probably the best bead I have ever made.... I obviously didn't keep it hot enough because it split in two as I was taking it off the mandrel  >:(
It was loaded with precious Ekho and looked really pretty, so assuming it comes out of the kiln still pretty....is there a decent glue out there that I can use to glue it back together, as I would like to wear it as a pendant?
Any suggestions most welcome  ;D

Then I'll just have to figure out how to hide the join  ::)

all depending what kiln you have what about putting it on a fusing schedule and making a pair of earrings out of the 2 halves.

I have an SC2, the bead has a load of silver glass in it, would I lose the colours?

I think you would loose some of the colours when fusing it.
If it is only fou you, you could use an epoxy glue or an UV glue.

If it is only fou you, you could use an epoxy glue or an UV glue.

You can only use a UV glue if the glass is transparent, as it needs UV light to reach the glue for it to activate and cure.

Thank you! It has an opaque core, so I will probably use some epoxy.

Thanks again  ;D

It is possible to 'mend' broken beads in the kiln and then flameworking, provided that the bead hasn't broken due to incompatability.  If it is a very special bead then I would recommend trying with other broken beads first until you can perfect the technique.  Now I need to go a-hunting for the tut...

Modified to add:
How annoying - I can't find the tut but there are a couple of threads on www.lampworketc.com -

Wow, thanks for that!
If I have any break that won't over-strike at the high temperature I will definitely give that a go!
