Bead sets with different hole sizes?

Well, the epiphany has happened ( after three and a half months  ::) ) I am finally comfortable with 1mm mandrels and actually find it easier to make unwonky beads on them. However, I like to make more sculptural focals, and know I will find that easier on my 2mm mandrels.
So, my question is: Is it oK to have a bead set where most of the holes are 1mm, but with the focal having a 2mm hole?

Your thoughts on this are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Vicki

I wouldn't mind - and think that if you're selling them and let people know that most beads are made on the smaller mandrels which will vary if there's a focal in the set that's fine.  Your customers can then decide for themselves.

My twopence worth  :)

I very rarely use 1mm mandrels (1.6mm? is the smallest, isn't it). I prefer to use 2mm for nearly everything.
Anyway, back to the original question... I personally don't think it matters as long as you state the hole size. I'm sure that's what most people do.

Thank you Donna & Diane!
I was thinking as much, so that helps, thanks!

BTW, measured my mandrels and thay are slightly over 1mm, but don't seem to be 1.6  ???
I will double check before listing anything  ;D

I agree - as long as you say so it doesn't really matter  ;D

Sometimes I will do this deliberately - a focal done on a 3mm, earring beads on a 2.4mm and spacers on a 2mm or 1.6mm. As others have said, you can always let people know when you list them for sale.

She's made of real glass. She got real real emotion. But my heart laughs I have that same sweet devotion!

I think most of my mandrels are 1.3mm as I use welding rods and this is the size I seem to get.

It wouldn't both me in the slightest if the holes in beads were different sizes.  I mean you often mix different beads together in things anyway don't you.

Guys, thank you! I was worried that I might break some unwritten rule or something  ;D
I will make sure that I inform people when I (erm, if I..) sell.
Thanks again!
