Let us know how you get on ? :D

I always work with my elbows on the bench which helps to keep it horizontal. I remember it was harder with the HH and my set up only allowed me to torch standing up.

An even heat base will help in getting the shape you desire. If you keep your mandrel horizontal and evenly heat the bead gravity should do the rest for you. Really its all about getting a feel for the glass and the way it moves. Good luck

When I started out I was told to stand a mirror up behind the flame so I could see how I was holding the mandrel. It was a surprise, I thought I was holding it straight but wasn't. Try it, it worked for me. Good luck :)

OMG! You gals are FANTABULOUS to say the least! After a few days away from the torch I finally had an hour free tonight and purposely never put the slow cooker on this time convinced that it'd be just another session of bady shaped donuts. I picked out some of my less favourite colours, followed everyone's advice and, just like magic, first time, there it was, A PERFECT DONUT! Fluke?...bead #2 perfect donut...bead #3 perfect donut...need I go on lol! You really are the font of all knowledge and I really can't thank you enough! Finally! Phew...thought I was never going to get it...you lot ROCK! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!  ;D ;D ;D :-* :-* :-*
