Gold fuming

Hi guys, just a quick question, iv had a gold tooth out and was wondering if I could use it
to gold fume some work?

For fuming to soft glass you ideally need a pure fine gold which is very soft, I presume a tooth is a more impure gold. Best try it and see, let us know if it works.

Having a quick look around the web, it seems like dental gold has different alloys added to it to make it harder, although I've no idea what they are  it might have elements that will produce different effects than 'normal' gold
